The Centre
The Mickels have set up a ministry base in downtown Chiang Mai, close to a local 'slum' area.
Kham Siri, was offered to them to rent by a local business woman. Here they have started running basic English lessons and a playgroup. The building had already been given the name
'Kham Siri' - which literally means 'word of glory' in Thai. This name aptly fits the work they are doing: to show God's glory through His word and by their words and actions.
The Community
They are also very involved in visiting a number of people in the local area and building relationships with them. God has begun to touch a number of people and they are beginning to see healing and salvation in the local community. There is a great need for wisdom in how to disciple young believers.
