The Vision
The Mickels' mixed European/Asian background and previous experience has equipped them to reach out to both local people and the many foreign residents in Chiang Mai. Their heart is especially to reach out to those who are marginalised: the poor, alcoholics, children who have been orphaned or who come from poorer communities and groups such as the Shan people.
The Dream
We want to assist Stefan and Tina in the running costs of the centre and to enable them to possibly employ young people (who are themselves orphans and who need to be able to support themselves whilst gaining skills and training). Having extra help in this way at Kam Siri might be part of the answer to this issue, and will also enable the Mickels to expand the work they are doing.
